Safari Smart Redirector is designed with privacy as its core principle. We believe that utility tools should respect user privacy above all else.

3. How the App Works

All redirect processing happens locally on your device:

  • Links are analyzed using local pattern matching
  • Redirect decisions are made using on-device rules
  • Any logs are stored locally in SwiftData (user-controlled)
  • No network calls are made for redirect processing
  • No data is sent to external servers

4. Local Data Storage

The app may store the following data locally on your device:

  • User preferences and settings (presets, exceptions)
  • Redirect log entries (for transparency, auto-deleted after 200 entries)
  • All data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework
  • Data is NOT shared with any other apps or services

You can clear all local data at any time through the app settings.

5. Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

  • Safari Extension Access: Required to process and redirect links
  • No other permissions are requested

6. Third-Party Services

We do NOT use any third-party services:

  • No analytics platforms (Google Analytics, etc.)
  • No advertising networks
  • No crash reporting services
  • No cloud storage or sync services
  • No social media integration

7. Data Security

All local data is protected by:

  • iOS sandboxing (app data is isolated)
  • Device encryption (when device is locked)
  • Apple's Data Protection API
  • No network transmission (no attack surface)

8. Children's Privacy

The app is suitable for all ages (4+). We do not collect any data from children or any other users.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will:

  • Post the updated policy in the app description
  • Update the version date at the top of this policy
  • Never reduce privacy protections without a major app update
