Why doesn't the app open when I tap a link?
Make sure the Safari extension is enabled. Go to Settings > Safari > Extensions and enable "Safari Smart Redirector". You may need to grant permissions when first enabling it.
How do I enable the Safari extension?
Open the Settings app on your iOS device, tap "Safari", then tap "Extensions". Find "Safari Smart Redirector" and toggle it on. You'll need to grant permission for the extension to access Safari data.
What data does the app collect?
None. Safari Smart Redirector is designed with privacy as its core principle. All processing happens locally on your device. No usage analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking of any kind.
How do I disable redirects for a specific website?
Open the Safari Smart Redirector app, go to the "Per Site" tab, and add the website domain to your exceptions list. Links from that site will no longer be redirected.
What is AMP and why should I remove it?
AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) is Google's cached version of web pages. While it loads faster, it tracks your reading habits and may not have all the features of the original page. Our AMP remover loads the original, clean page instead.
Does this work with all websites?
The extension works with most websites. Some sites may have restrictions or complex redirect chains that prevent automatic redirection. You can always add problematic sites to your exceptions list.
